About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to join our team in Midrand, responsible for driving sales growth and building strong relationships with key clients in the Consumer Electronics industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Reach a monthly sales target set out by the company
- Maintain and improve allocated business relationships to grow sales revenue
- Resolve key client issues and complaints
- Source new customers through meetings, visits, cold calling, referrals, etc.
- Manage new accounts to ensure consistent sales growth according to set targets
- Develop a trusted advisor relationship with customers
- Build full knowledge of all products sold to sell effectively based on features and benefits
- Create monthly forecasts (PSI) of orders and track key account metrics (e.g. stock levels, sales figures achieved)
- Communicate progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external departments
- Arrange monthly promotions of company products with customers, including all tasks required for a successful promotion
- Conduct product research and presentation preparation
- List new products with customers
- Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings
- Complete contact reports for all meetings held
Requirements
- 4-5 years of experience in Key Account Management within the Consumer Electronics industry (non-negotiable)
- Strong product knowledge in the retail industry
- Strong relationships with chain stores
