Job Description

About the Role

As a Quality Assurance Technologist at AF Consulting, you will be at the heart of ensuring quality and compliance every step of the way. You’ll maintain document control and accurate record-keeping, while also implementing and monitoring corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs). This role offers exposure to both internal processes and external partners through audits, supplier visits, and verification testing.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain document control and accurate record-keeping
Implement and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs)
Oversee audits, supplier visits, and verification testing
Manage non-conformances and conduct root cause investigations
Drive the implementation of core quality standards
Manage the site’s quality management system to keep everything aligned and effective
Implement and monitor prerequisite programmes (PRPs)
Serve as pest control officer for the warehouse
Ensure hygiene services and standards are consistently upheld
Lead continuous improvement initiatives
Monitor and enforce FIFO practices
Conduct sensory evaluations when needed

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or related field / Advanced Diploma
Minimum of three years’ experience in quality assurance and manufacturing
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong planning, organisational, and execution abilities
Results-orientated and able to perform well under pressure
Ability to delegate tasks effectively when required
Strong interpersonal and employee relations skills
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Able to monitor and comply with safety rules and regulations
Physically able to climb stairs and move easily between processing areas
