Key Responsibilities

People Management:

  • Lead, train, and develop centre staff while fostering a strong corporate culture.
  • Supervise personnel and service contractors to ensure smooth daily operations.

Tenant & Lease Management:

  • Market vacant space, manage lease renewals, and negotiate agreements within the approval framework.
  • Ensure optimal tenant mix, trade densities, and tenant installation timelines.
  • Maintain positive relationships with tenants and brokers while securing sustainable income streams.

Property & Facilities Management:

  • Oversee building administration, repairs, revamps, and inspections.
  • Prepare management packs, attend meetings, and coordinate with finance for reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including OHS regulations.

Budgeting & Financial Control:

  • Prepare and monitor income and expense budgets.
  • Track actual income vs. budget, follow up on arrears, and manage vacant space strategy.
  • Review lease conditions, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs) with vendors.

Requirements

  • Minimum Grade 12; tertiary qualification in property management advantageous.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in retail shopping centre/property management.
  • Valid Fidelity Fund Certificate (FFC) and compliance with PPRA requirements.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and property management systems such as MDA/SAP.
  • Strong contract administration, budgeting, and tenant management skills.
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written) and numeracy skills.
