Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Camp Manager to oversee the operations and management of our camp facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of all camp activities, overseeing staff, and providing a safe and enjoyable experience for campers. Responsibilities: – Manage all aspects of camp operations, including staff supervision, program scheduling, budgeting, and overall customer service. – Monitor and maintain camp facility, including grounds, buildings, equipment, and supplies. – Develop and implement camp policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of campers and staff. – Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate camp staff, including counselors, activity leaders, and support staff. – Plan and coordinate camp programs, activities, and events, ensuring a diverse and engaging experience for campers. – Handle any issues or conflicts that arise during camp sessions, resolving them in a timely and professional manner. – Communicate regularly with campers, families, and staff to provide updates, solicit feedback, and address any concerns. – Maintain accurate records and reports related to camp operations, including attendance, expenses, and camper feedback. – Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations and standards. Qualifications: – Bachelor’s degree in recreation management, hospitality, or a related field. – Minimum of 3 years of experience in camp management or a similar role. – Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team of staff. – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with campers, families, and staff. – Knowledge of outdoor education, recreational activities, and environmental sustainability practices. – First aid and CPR certification preferred. – Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed.
