About the Role
The Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing security operations at our Delmas site in Mpumalanga, ensuring a safe and secure environment for employees, clients, and the community. This is a senior management role that requires excellent communication skills, strong leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of security practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage client relationships and provide security advice to ensure contractual requirements are met.
- Conduct threat and risk assessments, and implement measures to mitigate potential threats.
- Initiate and chair disciplinary hearings as needed.
- Oversee manpower management, equipment maintenance, and ensure all company SOPs are followed.
- Ensure compliance with BPC policies and procedures, and train staff as required to maintain high performance levels.
- Manage incidents and investigations, ensuring a thorough and impartial investigation is conducted.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience in the mining industry (PGM experience preferred)
- PSIRA certification Grade A, SAPS experience an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of security practices, including good security management principles.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and staff.
Qualifications
- Security Management Diploma or equivalent is highly advantageous.
- 10 years minimum experience in a managerial position in the mining industry.
