Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible to maintain the Quality, Food safety and FSC management systems to ISO standards, legal requirements, company policies, procedures and add value and improvements to the quality environment of the company.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quality.
- Chemical Engineering will receive a preference.
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, FSSC 22001 and FSC systems.
- Act as document and data controller for ISO 9001, FSSC 22001 and FSC.
- Good communication and administration skills.
- Computer literacy (MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Valid Code 8 drivers license.
- Self-management and discipline as well as physically fit for work.
- Work outside normal working hours, when necessary, e.g., prepare for external audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of ISO 9001, FSSC 22001 and FSC management systems.
- Ensure that the organization complies with all Food Safety legal requirements.
- ISO9001, FSSC22001 and FSC requirements & regulations are effectively implemented and communicated through all levels within the plant.
- Control manpower by effective utilization of the manning schedule, providing role clarity, promoting teamwork and planned schedules.
- Manage the QC Lab and reports.
- Compile certificates of analyses for customers.
- Quality Assurance and Food Safety is maintained throughout the plant by means of internal audits of the various departments.
- Act as Lead internal auditor for ISO procedures.
- Implement and maintain Quality, Food Safety and FSC refreshing training programme.
- Ensure all activities and duties are performed in accordance with the Companies Policy, Occupational Health and Safety Act, No. 85 of 1993, Legal and Statutory Requirements, Customer Requirements and ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO 45001, FSSC22001 and FSC standards.
- Any ad hoc duties as may be required from time to time.
