About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the Quality, Food Safety and FSC management systems to ISO standards, legal requirements, company policies, procedures and adding value and improvements to the quality environment of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance of ISO 9001, FSSC 22001 and FSC management systems.
- Ensure that the organization complies with all Food Safety legal requirements.
- Implement and maintain Quality, Food Safety and FSC refreshing training programme.
- Control manpower by effective utilization of the manning schedule, providing role clarity, promoting teamwork and planned schedules.
- Manage the QC Lab and reports.
- Compile certificates of analyses for customers.
- Quality Assurance and Food Safety is maintained throughout the plant by means of internal audits of the various departments.
- Act as Lead internal auditor for ISO procedures.
- Implement and maintain compliance with Companies Policy, Occupational Health and Safety Act, No. 85 of 1993, Legal and Statutory Requirements, Customer Requirements and ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO 45001, FSSC22001 and FSC standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quality.
- Chemical Engineering will receive a preference.
