About the Role
Hire Resolve’s Client is currently seeking an experienced Blasting Engineer (Operations) to join their mining company based in the Northern Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating operational activities to achieve safe, efficient, and cost-effective production in line with sound operational practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate operational activities to support production targets and efficiency.
- Oversee drilling, blasting, and related operational processes.
- Monitor and improve asset performance and equipment utilisation.
- Manage budgets, costs, and contractor performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.
- Promote strong work ethics and operational discipline.
Requirements
- Grade 12 Degree/Diploma in Mining Engineering
- Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency
- Valid Blasting Certificate
- 3 years’ experience as a Mining Engineer
- 5 years’ experience as a Blasting/Drilling Specialist
- Valid Driver’s License
Qualifications
- Grade 12 Diploma in Mining Engineering
