About the Role
The Thabazimbi FMS Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the efficient maintenance and repair of fixed fuel management systems, while providing technical support to customers and adhering to all safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform fault diagnostics and error analysis.
- Install and commission products.
- Repair, remove, inspect, and service products.
- Ensure equipment is in good working order and condition.
- Maintain equipment according to OEM requirements and specifications.
- Compile a schedule for preventative maintenance on the fixed fuel management system.
- Assist with mini projects run in maintenance.
- Support and assist the Database Specialist with investigations and solutions as necessary.
- Perform administrative tasks, including keeping records of new installed equipment and maintaining technician onsite reports (TOS).
- Keep track of stock and perform regular stock counts.
- Provide technical advice on products to customers.
- Inform Customer representative of obsolete or beyond economical repair equipment.
- Support the Marketing effort of products to customers.
- Act as Site Manager.
- Comply with all Customer rules and regulations, including health, safety, quality, and environment policies.
- Maintain medical fitness and induction documents, making necessary appointments and arrangements for renewal.
- Report daily to the appointed Customer representative before commencing work responsibilities.
- Attend weekly/monthly safety meetings as required by the mine.

- Electro-mechanical or Instrumentation experience
- Valid Code 8 License
