This is a hands-on leadership role in a remote environment ; responsible for maintaining all infrastructure, utilities, equipment, and staff/guest areas to the highest standards, while ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise the maintenance team, including training, task allocation, and performance oversight Maintain all buildings, guest areas, staff housing, and reserve facilities, ensuring high standards and quick turnaround on repairs Oversee critical utilities and systems, including water (boreholes/pumps), power supply (generators/solar where applicable), and sewage systems Implement and manage preventative maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and avoid service interruptions Manage contractors and suppliers, ensuring quality work, cost control, and compliance Drive health, safety, and environmental compliance, with strong audit readiness and incident response Assist with operational emergency response when required (remote setting readiness) Budgeting, cost control, procurement oversight, and reporting for the maintenance department Requirements Relevant trade qualification (Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical, Building, or similar) Minimum 5+ years maintenance management experience, within luxury lodges (preferred), or luxury hospitality operations Strong all-round technical ability with proven fault-finding and problem-solving skills Solid understanding of remote site infrastructure, utilities, and contractor management Strong leadership and team management experience Valid drivers licence essential Computer literacy (MS Office and basic reporting; maintenance systems advantageous) Honest, responsible, and able to work independently in a remote environment Package Highly attractive, market-leading package (dependent on experience) Live-in accommodation included Meals not included Benefits included To Apply Please submit your CV, contactable references, and a recent head and shoulders photograph ASAP. ?
