About the Role
Tumaini Consulting is seeking an experienced Mine Manager (Open Pit) to join their team based in the Northern Cape. The successful candidate will have a strong background in open pit mining and be able to lead a team to optimize production and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the open pit mine, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring production
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Develop and implement strategies to improve mine safety, environmental management, and community relations
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and suppliers
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the mine
Requirements
- National Senior Certificate (Matric) Diploma/Degree in Mining Engineering
- MBA/MBL Mine Managers Certificate of Competency
- Minimum 15 years of operational mining experience in open pit mining
- Majority of experience should be in a 3.1 legal capacity
