Nqamakwe: Store Manager

About the Role

Unspecified is seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead our retail branch, responsible for executing marketing and operations plans, and coordinating various aspects of store functionality. We are looking for a successful individual who can drive sales growth, manage staff effectively, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the outside and inside of the store, ensuring it is neat and tidy, with all fixtures and fittings accounted for and maintained.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair services to protect and secure company assets in the store.
• Responsible for stock control, including managing overages and shortages, preparing requisitions to replenish stock, identifying slow-selling items, and conducting stock takes to manage shrinkage within company requirements.
• Manage the quality and quantity aspects of merchandise assortments, coordinating shelf layout and seasonal/sale displays.
• Identify new ways to promote merchandise and ensure required housekeeping standards are maintained.
• Implement marketing promotions to maximize sales opportunities, prepare and direct staff on preparing merchandise displays.
• Provide sales leadership to staff, staying up-to-date with current advertising trends.
• Achieve and exceed store sales targets by organizing special promotions, sales events, and initiating changes/improvement suggestions.

Requirements

• Matric Certificate.
• NQF 5/6 Certificate or Diploma in Retail/Business Management (preferable).
• Valid Driver’s License – Code 8 unendorsed.
• 2-5 years of experience in relevant Sales/retail/operations environment as an Assistant Manager/Manager.
