About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our team in Paarl. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements, and providing financial insights to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounts, reconciliations, and reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensure statutory compliance (e.g., SARS, VAT, PAYE) and support external audits
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls and risk management practices
- Provide financial insights to support business decision-making
- Lead and mentor the finance team
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and funding requirements
- Collaborate with executive team on strategic financial planning
Requirements
- B.Comm degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (essential)
- 5 years’ relevant experience, ideally within the financial services sector
- Strong understanding of South African financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, Pastel) and MS Excel
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Qualifications
- B.Comm Honours, CIMA, or SAIPA/SAICA articles (preferred)
- Experience with financial modelling and scenario analysis
- Knowledge of FAIS, FICA, and other relevant financial services regulations
