Key Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging game drives and guided bush walks, providing guests with informative, safe, and memorable wildlife experiences.
  
• Share expert knowledge of local ecosystems, flora, fauna, birdlife, and conservation practices.
  
• Ensure guest safety and comfort at all times during activities.
  
• Contribute to environmental management efforts, including habitat monitoring and sustainable lodge practices.
  
• Assist with lodge hosting duties, ensuring warm and professional guest interactions.
  
• Mentor and support junior guides, contributing to skills development and knowledge transfer.
  
• Maintain all guiding equipment and vehicles in excellent working condition.
  
• Uphold the lodges standards of professionalism, guest satisfaction, and conservation ethics.
  

Requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 35 years guiding experience in a Big Five game reserve environment.
  
• Valid drivers license and Professional Drivers Permit (PrDP).
  
• Recognised Nature Site Guide qualification (NQF4 or higher).
  
• Advanced knowledge of local wildlife, ecology, and conservation practices.
  
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse guest groups.
  
• High level of physical fitness and stamina for bush activities.
  
• First Aid certification
