Position: Full-time

Hire Resolve’s Client are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Coal Mine Overseer to join their team at our mining operation in Mpumalanga. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mining operations with a focus on coal production.

Key Responsibilities:
– Oversee and manage all mining activities at the coal mine, ensuring safe and efficient operations
– Develop and implement production plans to meet targets and deadlines
– Monitor equipment usage and maintenance, ensuring equipment is operating at optimal levels
– Manage and supervise a team of miners, ensuring they are trained and equipped to work safely and effectively
– Ensure compliance with all mining regulations and safety guidelines
– Implement and monitor environmental management practices to minimize the impact of mining operations on the environment
– Work closely with other departments to coordinate activities and achieve production goals
– Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions

Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field
– Mine Overseer’s Certificate of Competency
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in coal mining operations
– Knowledge of mining regulations and safety procedures
– Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and manage a team
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
– Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
