Job Summary

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Draughtsman to join our team on a fixed-term basis in Mpumalanga. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing technical drawings and plans for various engineering projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.

Key

Responsibilities:

– Collaborate with engineers and other team members to create detailed technical drawings and plans for engineering projects
– Review project specifications and requirements to ensure drawings meet all necessary criteria
– Use CAD software to create and modify drawings as needed
– Perform quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with project standards
– Assist in the preparation of project reports and documentation
– Maintain drawing files and project records
– Communicate regularly with project managers and team members to ensure project timelines are met

Qualifications and Skills:

– Diploma or degree in Engineering or related field
– Proven experience as a Draughtsman in an engineering or construction environment
– Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and in a team environment
– Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
– Experience working on mining or construction projects is a plus
