About the Role
Join our production team as a Junior Spray Painter in Pinetown, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring surfaces are correctly prepared and finished to standard. As a Junior Spray Painter, you’ll assist senior painters, maintain cleanliness in the work area, and ensure safety procedures are followed at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare surfaces prior to painting
- Sand components to required specifications
- Mask areas to protect surfaces not being painted
- Assist with spray painting of components
- Support finishing and touch-up work where required
- Inspect painted surfaces for defects or inconsistencies
- Report quality issues to supervisors
- Maintain tools and basic spray equipment
- Clean and organize the spray area daily
- Follow production schedules and work instructions
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements
- Basic spray painting experience or relevant training
- Understanding of surface preparation methods
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physically able to perform hands-on production work
