Job Description

About the Role

Daisy Business Solutions is seeking a skilled PABX Installer to join our team in Durban. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex PABX systems, ensuring seamless connectivity and communication solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programming, installation and maintenance of PABX systems
  • Conducting site surveys before installations
  • Troubleshooting on PABX
  • Configuration of ADSL, VoIP, WIFI, 3G routers
  • Setting up IP PBX VoIP networks
  • Installing and troubleshooting SIP Trunks and VOIP systems
  • Installing and maintaining cabling infrastructure
  • Voice Over IP network maintenance
  • Connectivity – Fiber, Microwave links and LTE
  • Data cabling and voice cabling
  • Configuration of voicemail, auto attendant, spnet, least cost routing (LCR), ring plans as well as voice and data integration
  • Conducting fault finding analysis
  • Handover to clients upon completion of full installations
  • Ensuring compliance with H&S regulations and SOPs (standard operating procedures)
  • Communicating with customers to explain problems and procedures with equipment
  • Managing all allocated stock
  • Providing accurate information to the Service Coordinator regarding service calls and installations
  • Completing necessary paperwork in a timely manner

Requirements

  • Relevant technical experience with PABX systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic knowledge of networking infrastructure and protocols

Qualifications

  • Formal education in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or related field (optional)
