Live-Out Position Kendrick Recruitment is currently searching for an exceptional General Manager for a well-established, award-winning 5-star boutique hotel and spa in Plettenberg Bay. This property forms part of a respected boutique hospitality group with operations across South Africa. This intimate coastal hotel delivers a refined guest experience with a strong emphasis on personalised service, outstanding cuisine, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. This role is ideal for a values-driven leader who can inspire excellence across all areas of the operation while nurturing a strong team culture. Minimum Requirements: Minimum 5 years experience in a senior management or General Manager role within luxury boutique hospitality Relevant hospitality or tourism qualification Strong financial acumen (budgeting, forecasting, and cost control) Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a close-knit team Sound knowledge of HR legislation and practices Experience hosting agents, media, and VIP guests Understanding of sustainability practices within hospitality Strong administrative and computer literacy Valid PrDP essential Impeccable references and clean employment track record (non-negotiable) Key Responsibilities: Full general management of all hotel departments and daily operations Financial management including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting HR leadership including recruitment, training, and performance management Build strong relationships with guests, staff, agents, community, and partners Drive continuous improvement of guest experience across all touchpoints Custodian of operational equipment and hotel assets Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sustainability standards Uphold and champion company values and culture throughout the team Ideal Candidate Profile: Warm, confident leader comfortable with discerning guests Humble, curious, and growth-focused professional Natural people leader who empowers rather than micromanages Detail-oriented with a strong sense of urgency High-energy, self-motivated, and excellence-driven Values-led with a strong focus on team culture and collaboration Package: Gross monthly salary: R50,000 R60,000 (DOE) Live-out position ?
