Job Summary

To manage day-to-day accounting functions, including processing and reconciling financial transactions up to trial balance level. The ideal candidate will be experienced, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently. Formal qualifications are advantageous but not essentialrelevant experience will be prioritized. Possible duties: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records Perform full bookkeeping function up to trial balance Process customer and supplier invoices Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts Manage debtors and creditors Prepare and process journals, accruals, and prepayments Assist with monthly management accounts and reports Assist with VAT calculations and submissions Support year-end audit preparation and reconciliations Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards Perform ad hoc finance duties as required Requirements: Education & Qualifications (Advantageous but not Essential): BCom Degree or Diploma in Accounting is an advantage Completion of articles is an advantage Experience: Proven accounting/bookkeeping experience (minimum 35 years preferred) Strong understanding of accounting principles and processes Experience with accounting software (Pastel highly advantageous) Extensive experience wits SARS and financial statements. Skills & Competencies: Ability to work independently and meet deadlines High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good communication and interpersonal abilities Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy

Job Summary

DUTIES: Bookkeeping up to trial balance Supplier processing, recons and payments Administration of municipal accounts, including queries and meter recons Compilation and submission for VAT and dividends tax returns Preparation of monthly management packs Compilation of annual audit packs Basic payroll and payroll taxes administration Assisting financial manager with various tasks, i.e. Reviewing payment packs Monitoring tax liability of the company Compiling and reviewing management packs Basic CIPC secretarial work REQUIREMENTS BCom degree with accounting as a subject Recently graduated Excellent computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office Experience on account software packages would be advantageous Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work in a fast paced, open plan office

Job Summary

Qualifications: BCom Degree or BTech in Financial Accounting or Internal Auditing A CIMA qualification and strong IT knowledge would be an added advantage Job Requirements: Strong communication skills Excellent attention to detail A valid drivers licence is essential Key Responsibilities: Prepare and post standard journals for monthly management accounts Prepare and reconcile VAT returns and confirm inter-company balances Compile fixed costs and transport analysis for the General Manager Prepare the tax pack and upload required information on OneSource Upload financial statements to Hyperion / SMART Reconcile all ledger accounts using MS Excel by the 10th working day of each month Complete the Stats SA manufacturing questionnaire and prepare the monthly petty cash file for the Financial Manager Upload annual budgets and quarterly forecasts onto Hyperion Prepare statutory notes on Hyperion Perform any other ad hoc duties as required

Accountant Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that management accounts are produced accurately and on time, contributing to the smooth financial operations of the organization. Location: Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha Job type: Permanent On-site Duties and Responsibilities Manage general ledger and ensure accurate accounting Handle accounts payable and receivable processes Reconcile financial records Prepare financial statements and reports Ensure compliance with accounting standards Assist in audits and regulatory reporting Minimum Requirements Proficiency in accounting software (Pastel partner, Sage, Intacct) Financial Accounting Degree 3 years’ experience in Accountant role Understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and compliance standards in South Africa Skills Good communication skills Ability to ensure accuracy in financial records and transactions Excellent time management and ability to multitask Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Ability to work independently and manage deadlines Attention to detail Should you meet the above criteria, we invite you to apply directly to the advertisement. Job Summary

Our client, specializing in outsourced accounting and financial services for clients in South Africa, and the United States is seeking an Accountant in Port Elizabeth who is able to work flexible hours during the US tax season (Nov – March) The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing full-cycle accounting and bookkeeping services to US-based clients, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and client-specific requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Accountant (US Clients) We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to handle the day-to-day accounting operations for our U.S.-based clients. This role requires strong knowledge of U.S. accounting standards, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Perform daily bookkeeping and accounting tasks, including: Bank and credit card reconciliations Accounts payable and receivable General ledger maintenance Month-end and year-end closings Inventory and fixed asset management Equity and intercompany account reconciliations Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and IRS regulations Communicate directly with U.S. clients via email and video conferencing Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and client service Utilize accounting platforms such as QuickBooks (Online/Desktop), Xero, and other cloud-based tools Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 23 years of accounting experience, preferably with U.S. clients Proficient in QuickBooks, Xero, and Microsoft Excel Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines High attention to detail with strong organizational skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in an outsourced accounting or BPO environment Familiarity with U.S. tax forms and filings (e.g., 1099s, W-9s) Professional certification (SAIPA, SAICA, CPA or equivalent) is a plus On Offer Competitive salary with performance-based incentives Opportunities for growth and U.S. accounting training Exposure to international clients and best practices Supportive, team-oriented work culture Flexible working arrangements (where applicable)
