Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations Manage and process import and export documentation, including customs forms and declarations Ensure compliance with local and international customs laws and procedures Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and relevant government authorities Track and record international transactions and associated duties or tariffs Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting Support audit preparation and respond to financial inquiries Monitor exchange rates and their impact on transactions Maintain organized records of all import/export documentation for audit purposes Requirements: Matric certificate (Grade 12) mandatory Qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field (Diploma or Degree preferred) Proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role Minimum 2-3 years experience in import/export finance or logistics Proficiency in customs procedures and documentation Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or similar) Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
