About the Role
The Assistant HR Manager position at Abantu Staffing Solutions is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned HR professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business objectives, while ensuring compliance with Labour Legislation, Employment Equity (EE), and BBBEE requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning
- Oversee Employee Relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary processes
- Drive Employee Engagement initiatives and promote a positive workplace culture
- Administer payroll, benefits, and HR systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Lead and develop the HR team, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology, or related field – an Honours Degree is preferred
- 57 years of experience in HR management or senior HR generalist roles
- Strong knowledge of South African Labour Laws and HR best practices
- Experience with HR systems, payroll administration, and talent development
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects
- Strong leadership, team management, and coaching capability
- Attention to detail, adaptability, and persistence in achieving results
Special Requirements
- Must be prepared to work additional hours when required
- Valid drivers licence
