Job Description
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the cleaning and hygiene division across multiple client sites in the Eastern Cape
- Drive service excellence, client retention, and contract profitability
- Develop and execute regional business plans aligned to divisional and group strategy
- Oversee SLAs, contract compliance, service delivery standards, and quality assurance
- Lead and mentor site managers and operational teams
- Manage budgets, wage control, forecasting, and cost optimization
- Ensure full compliance with H&S legislation, hygiene standards, and industry regulations
- Oversee audits, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage new contract mobilizations, site take-ons, and operational transitions
- Build strong client, supplier, and stakeholder relationships
- Identify growth opportunities, upselling initiatives, and operational efficiencies
- Report on performance, KPIs, and financials to executive management
What you’ll need
- Minimum 8 years’ senior management experience in cleaning, hygiene, or facilities services
- Proven track record in managing large-scale, multi-site operations
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L ownership
- In-depth knowledge of hygiene standards, sanitation protocols, and South African H&S legislation
- Exceptional leadership, people management, and succession planning capability
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to drive accountability, performance, and service excellence
- Experience in audits, compliance, and risk management
- Valid South African driver’s license and own vehicle (mandatory)
- Clear criminal record (mandatory – background checks will be conducted)
- Relevant management or business qualification (advantageous)
