Job Description

Key responsibilities 1) Web development and optimisation – Develop, maintain, and improve company websites and landing pages to increase traffic, conversion rates, and performance. – Implement responsive UI/UX improvements, form optimisation, and page-speed enhancements. – Maintain website security, backups, and core updates (including plugins/themes where relevant). 2) Software development and integrations – Build and maintain internal tools, client portals, dashboards, and workflow automations where needed. – Integrate platforms such as CRM, email marketing tools, forms, chat widgets, booking tools, and payment gateways. – Develop and maintain APIs and data flows to ensure clean lead capture, routing, and reporting. 3) Tracking, analytics, and attribution – Implement and maintain analytics and tracking infrastructure: – Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), pixels, events, and conversion tracking – UTM standards and attribution hygiene across channels – Build reporting dashboards and provide insight on funnel performance (traffic lead conversion). 4) SEO and technical content support – Implement technical SEO best practices (site structure, metadata, schema, redirects, sitemap/robots, core web vitals). – Support content teams by implementing on-page SEO requirements and publishing content accurately. 5) Paid advertising enablement and optimisation support – Support campaign setup and integrity for Google Ads, Meta Ads, and LinkedIn Ads from a technical perspective: – landing page build and testing – conversion tracking validation – A/B testing support and performance troubleshooting 6) Email marketing and marketing automation – Build and optimise email templates, lead nurture journeys, and automated follow-ups. – Ensure segmentation, deliverability basics, and CRM/email tool alignment for clean reporting. 7) Digital governance and best practices – Ensure compliance with POPIA/GDPR-aligned practices (cookie consent, privacy notices, data retention basics). – Maintain documentation for systems, integrations, and tracking setups. Key deliverables / KPIs – Website uptime, performance, and page speed improvements – Landing page conversion rate improvements – Accurate tracking and measurable conversion events across campaigns – Reduced lead leakage via reliable form/CRM automation – Marketing automation performance (open/click rates, conversions) – Reduced time-to-launch for campaigns/landing pages Required skills – Web development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (and at least one modern framework or CMS experience). – Backend/software skills: ability to work with databases and APIs (REST/GraphQL), plus server-side development experience. – Strong understanding of tracking/analytics: GA4, GTM, event-based measurement, pixels, UTMs. – Practical digital marketing knowledge: lead funnels, landing page optimisation, basic SEO, email marketing concepts. – Ability to troubleshoot quickly across the full stack (front-end, integrations, tracking, hosting). Preferred tech stack – WordPress/Webflow/Headless CMS experience (any one or more) – Node.js / Python / PHP (any relevant backend) – Git/version control, basic DevOps exposure – Email platforms (Mailchimp, SendInBlue, HubSpot Marketing, ActiveCampaign, etc.) Qualifications and experience – Relevant qualification or demonstrable experience in Web Development, Software Development, Computer Science, or similar. – 25 years practical experience building and maintaining production web/software systems. – Demonstrated experience supporting marketing outcomes (conversion tracking, landing pages, automation, reporting). Personal attributes – Data-driven, curious, and solutions-oriented. – Strong attention to detail (especially tracking accuracy and QA). – Able to manage multiple priorities and deliver fast turnaround. – Communicates well with marketing, sales, and technical stakeholders. Communication & Interpersonal Skills: o Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. o Professional phone etiquette for answering and directing calls. o Proven ability to work collaboratively and provide general support to a diverse team.
