About the Role
The South African Bank Note Company (SABN) is seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our maintenance team as an Assistant Maintenance: Electrical & Mechanical. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the availability of machines, minimizing downtime, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Artisans and Technicians in executing all maintenance activities to the required standard.
- Ensure resources, tools, and equipment are available to perform preventative maintenance effectively as instructed by the Artisans and Technicians.
- Perform housekeeping duties for the workshop and other working areas.
- Comply with SHEQ legislation, internal policies, and procedures.
- Complete small projects as identified and under the supervision of a qualified person.
- Actively identify and report potential hazards in order to mitigate risks.
Requirements
- Matric with Maths & Science or N3 Mechanical / Electrical (Essential)
- Forklift license (Added advantage)
- 1-year experience in a technical environment

- Basic SHE Practices
- Basic Maintenance procedures and processes
