About the Role

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a skilled and motivated Structural Engineer or Structural Technologist to join a dynamic team within the construction industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, design, and implementation of structural projects, with a strong emphasis on commercial developments. This position combines office-based design work with on-site responsibilities, offering an exciting opportunity to apply technical expertise and project management skills in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and conceptualize structural systems for commercial buildings in compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
• Perform structural analysis and create detailed models using software such as Prokon, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Evaluate loads, materials, and environmental factors to ensure structural integrity and sustainability.
• Develop structural specifications that balance performance, safety, and cost-efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight during construction phases, ensuring designs are correctly implemented on-site.
• Conduct facility condition assessments and structural assessments as needed.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project coordination.
• Monitor project timelines, quality, and budgets, reporting progress to relevant stakeholders.
• Stay up to date with industry developments, technologies, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BSc/BEng) or BTech in Structural Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA (or in progress).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in structural engineering design, with a strong focus on commercial projects.
• Proficiency in structural design software, especially Prokon.
• Strong skills in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites.
• Physically fit and able to work in both office and construction environments.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Self-driven, highly organized, and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
