About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to accurately process daily transactions in accounting records according to audit standards. The successful candidate will be based in Silverton, Pretoria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately process daily transactions in accounting records according to audit standards.
  • Submit statutory documentation and reports (e.g., EMP201, EMP501, VAT201, Pension, Compensation Commissioner, NCR, STATSSA, etc.).
  • Process Payroll Data in accounting records for the companies.
  • VIP processing of small company payroll.
  • Reconcile accounts monthly and prepare management reports.
  • Reconcile Pastel balances for audit purposes, coordinate, and complete.
  • Upload bank transactions for payment by the financial manager daily.
  • Provide necessary information to relevant colleagues for processing and reconciliation tasks.
  • Liaise and organize information and transactions in an orderly manner.
  • Perform any other reporting duties required by management (e.g., daily bank balances and other reports).
  • Prepare inter-company invoices and reconciliation.
  • Perform any additional tasks required by management.

Requirements

  • BCom Accounting degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Bookkeeper
  • Proficiency in Pastel, VIP, and Arch Retail systems
  • Basic Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable and punctual

Qualifications

Salary & Benefits
