Job Description

Employer Description Our client is a multi-disciplinary construction company. Their services include project management & construction management as well as maintenance of roads and essential infrastructure. Job Description You will: Procure construction materials, equipment, and services in line with project needs Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and terms Prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders Coordinate with site and project teams to ensure timely delivery of materials Monitor costs and support budget and cost control requirements Manage stock levels and track material availability and lead times Ensure compliance with company procedures and contractual requirements Evaluate and monitor supplier performance Expedite orders to prevent site delays Maintain accurate procurement records and reports Qualifications Matric National Diploma in Construction Management / Engineering or any related qualification is ideal Skills At least 5 years in a construction / engineering field Strong negotiation and commercial skills Good understanding of construction materials, plant, and services Cost awareness and ability to work within budgets Excellent organisational and time‑management skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills Supplier sourcing and relationship‑management skills Ability to read and understand drawings, BOQs, and specifications Knowledge of procurement procedures and contract requirements (e.g. GCC/FIDIC) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Computer literacy Build smart is non-negotiable (MS Office, procurement systems, MS Project advantageous) Benefits Inclusive
