About the Role
Hire Resolve, a leading client in the civil industry, is seeking an experienced Civil Contracts Manager to join their team in Pretoria. As a key member of our contracts management team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of civil contracts and projects, working closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all civil contracts and projects
- Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines
- Complete the running of sites specialising in water, roads and earthworks, stormwater drainage, and township development among others
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to contract specifications
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met
- Manage risk and resolve any contract-related issues or disputes that may arise
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Track project costs and ensure effective cost management
- Oversee the work of contractors and subcontractors
- Provide regular project updates to stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BEng) in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience as a Civil Contracts Manager or similar role
- Registration with ECSA and/or SACPCMP would be beneficial
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the civil construction field preferably in a contracts management position
- Strong knowledge of civil construction practices and methods
- Excellent project management and leadership skills
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
