Job Summary
Hire Resolve is looking for an experienced Construction Manager/Project Manager for a well-regarded Arts and Heritage company in Johannesburg. The role involves overseeing the design and renovation of a buildings interior from start to finish.
In this position, you`ll coordinate with architects, engineers, curators, and contractors, ensuring the project stays on budget and on schedule.
This is a 12-month contract role with a hybrid work arrangement, including office meetings (in Johannesburg) and site visits (in Pretoria).
Responsibilities
- Plan and Schedule: Create and manage project timelines to keep everything on track.
- Manage Budget: Track expenses and ensure the project stays within budget.
- Coordinate: Work with architects, engineers, curators, and contractors to meet project goals.
- Ensure Quality: Check that work meets quality standards and specifications.
- Visit Site: Regularly visit the site to monitor progress and resolve any issues.
- Keep Records: Maintain project documents and keep everything organized.
- Solve Problems: Address any problems or conflicts that come up during the project.
- Report: Update stakeholders on project progress, budget, and any potential issues.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management
- Experience with libraries, museums, or similar institutions would be a plus.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Excellent leadership and project management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in construction management software
- Valid driver`s license and own transportation
