Job Description

The Role: As an Electrical Consulting Engineer within our Building Services team, you will be responsible for the design, specification, and delivery of electrical systems across a diverse portfolio of projects. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, and contractors to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards. Key Responsibilities: Design of LV power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, and small power systems Design of fire alarm, data, security, and other ELV systems Preparation of detailed design calculations, specifications, and drawings Use of industry software such as Amtech/Trimble, Dialux/Relux, and AutoCAD/Revit Attendance at client meetings and site visits Coordination with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., BS 7671, and IET wiring regulations) Supporting junior engineers and contributing to technical development Requirements: Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering 3 years experience in a building services consultancy environment Strong knowledge of UK electrical standards and regulations Proficiency in design software and BIM environments Excellent communication and report-writing skills
