Pretoria East: Head of Manufacturing posted by Network Finance

We are seeking an experienced and driven Head of Manufacturing to lead our production operations. This is a senior leadership role ideal for a qualified Mechanical Engineer with a solid background in machine shop management, CNC machining, and laser cutting. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire manufacturing function, ensuring seamless 24/7 operations, while maintaining high standards in quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage day-to-day manufacturing operations across CNC, laser cutting, and general machining departments.
• Oversee quality control processes to ensure compliance with product standards and customer expectations.
• Manage material procurement and stock levels to ensure continuous production flow.
• Coordinate and schedule regular and preventive maintenance of all machinery and equipment.
• Source and procure necessary tools and consumables in a cost-effective manner.
• Supervise and support a team of machinists and technicians working across 24/7 shift operations.
• Drive process improvements, cost efficiencies, and operational excellence.
• Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to.

? Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (essential).
• Proven experience in a senior manufacturing or production role, preferably in a machine shop or precision engineering environment.
• Hands-on experience with CNC machines, laser cutting, and machine maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of quality control standards and lean manufacturing practices.
