About the Role
Our client in Middelburg is seeking an experienced Sales Representative with expertise in yellow machinery/earthmoving mining machinery sales to join their team.
Key Responsibilities
- Identifying and Qualifying Leads: Actively seek out potential customers through various methods like cold calling, networking, or referrals.
- Lead Qualification: Assess if a lead is a good fit for the product or service based on factors like budget, needs, and decision-making authority.
- Building Relationships and Presenting Solutions:
- Establishing Rapport: Build trust and rapport with potential and existing customers.
- Product Knowledge: Must thoroughly understand the features, benefits, and value proposition of the products or services they sell.
- Needs Analysis: Identify customer pain points and tailor their presentations to demonstrate how the product or service can address those specific needs.
- Presentations and Demonstrations: Effectively communicate the value of their offerings through presentations, demonstrations, and other sales materials.
- Closing Deals and Managing the Sales Cycle:
- Negotiation: Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with customers.
- Closing: Guide customers through the final stages of the sales process to secure a purchase.
- Order Processing: Prepare and submit sales contracts, ensuring accurate order placement and fulfillment.
- Maintaining Customer Relationships and Providing Support:
- Customer Service: Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Follow-up: Maintain contact with customers throughout the sales process and after the sale to foster loyalty and identify future opportunities.
- Account Management: Manage and nurture relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business and referrals.
- Analyzing Performance and Adapting Strategies:
- Sales Reporting: Track sales activity, analyze performance data, and prepare reports for management.
- Goal Setting and Achievement: Work towards meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to adjust their strategies.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other teams, such as marketing and product development, to align sales efforts and optimize the customer experience.

Requirements
- Experience in yellow/mining/earthmoving equipment.
- Experience dealing with mines.
- Must reside in Middelburg or surrounding areas.
- Excellent communication skills in Afrikaans.
- Good track record.
- Valid drivers license.
