Job Description
Our client in Middelburg is looking for a well experienced Sales Representative with yellow machinery/earthmoving mining machinery sales experience.
Responsibilities of Sales Rep
Identifying and Qualifying Leads:
- Prospecting: Actively seek out potential customers through various methods like cold calling, networking, or referrals.
- Lead Qualification: Assess if a lead is a good fit for the product or service, based on factors like budget, needs, and decision-making authority.
Building Relationships and Presenting Solutions:
- Establishing Rapport: Build trust and rapport with potential and existing customers.
- Product Knowledge: Must thoroughly understand the features, benefits, and value proposition of the products or services they sell.
- Needs Analysis: Identify customer pain points and tailor their presentations to demonstrate how the product or service can address those specific needs.
- Presentations and Demonstrations: Effectively communicate the value of their offerings through presentations, demonstrations, and other sales materials.
Closing Deals and Managing the Sales Cycle:
- Negotiation: Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with customers.
- Closing: Guide customers through the final stages of the sales process to secure a purchase.
- Order Processing: Prepare and submit sales contracts, ensuring accurate order placement and fulfillment.
Maintaining Customer Relationships and Providing Support:

Customer Service: Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a positive customer experience.

Follow-up: Maintain contact with customers throughout the sales process and after the sale to foster loyalty and identify future opportunities.

Account Management: Manage and nurture relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business and referrals.
Analyzing Performance and Adapting Strategies:
- Sales Reporting: Track sales activity, analyze performance data, and prepare reports for management.
- Goal Setting and Achievement: Work towards meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to adjust their strategies.
Collaboration and Coordination:

Experience and Requirements
- Experience in yellow/mining/earthmoving equipment.
- Experience dealing with mines.
- Must reside in Middelburg or surrounding areas.
- Excellent communication skills in Afrikaans.
- Good track record.
- Valid drivers license.
