Job Description
The Industrial Engineer will also assist the Engineering, Procurement, Financial and Prototyping departments with project related task such as BOM management, material
requirements management, stores management, build sequencing and cost accounting and project expenditure control.
o Craft and deploy tactical and strategic plans to achieve operational targets
o Partners with supply chain and quality in the performance assessment and on-going monitoring of
internal manufacturing and suppliers
o Promoting quality achievement and performance improvements throughout the organization
o Assist in overcoming obstacles that may exist in processes or procedures
o Evaluate and recommend manufacturing processes, equipment, gauging, and tooling
o Evaluates theoretical volume capacities and recommends appropriate manning requirements
o Perform benchmarking within the Manufacturing engineering area
o Drive and master 5S principles throughout all activities
o Champion the industrialization release phase of the product change process
o Direct others in the activities related to the industrialization needs of the company
o Consolidate and report key IE indicators and propose associated action plans
o Analyse and develop standards, time and motion studies, and statistical analysis to improve productivity, quality and service levels
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
o Graduate engineers with 2 – 5 years of experience will be considered as Industrial Engineers.
o Previous experience in the military vehicle design environment would be greatly advantageous.
o (Post-) Graduate degree in Industrial Engineering, or
o N-Dip in Industrial Engineering, or
o B-Tech Degree in Industrial Engineering
o Six Sigma qualification(s) would be advantageous.
