Job Description

Minimum Requirements A relevant Bachelors Degree or equivalent qualification, such as BCom Informatics, BSc Information Systems, BSc Informatics, BTech or similar A Data Management certification, such as DAMA CDMP, would be an added advantage Minimum of 8 years experience in business analysis Minimum of 5 years experience in Information Management / Enterprise Information Management Solid experience working within an Agile methodology Strong understanding of data analysis, data profiling, data discovery, data quality and information management practices Experience in financial services, ERP, EPM Cloud or large-scale transformation environments would be advantageous Duties and Responsibilities Applying data discovery mechanisms to identify data assets within the context of business value drivers, processes and in-scope data products Profiling discovered data assets to determine data sensitivity, quality, context of use, legislative requirements and appropriate data handling protocols Implementing standards, guidelines, processes and procedures for in-scope data analysis activities Establishing relationships between data elements and assessing their impact on business processes, reporting, decision-making and operational outcomes Conducting data analysis to classify and categorise data and information across relevant business domains Applying data valuation techniques to determine the importance, business value and potential reuse of data assets Generating regular reports, delivering actionable insights, and providing timely status updates to support the management of data domains Providing input into legislative requirements, sensitivity classifications, access rules, authorisation requirements and data handling protocols as data moves from source to destination and remains at rest Working closely with business and technical stakeholders to support data quality, data governance and information management objectives Contributing to improved data understanding, data control and trusted information practices across the organisation Key Deliverables The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to or produce the following deliverables: Business Cases Business Analysis Work Plan Business Requirements Specification Document Functional Requirements Specification Document. Information Matrix User Stories Change Request Documents Quality Assurance participation and support User Acceptance Testing participation and support Business Analysis Measurement and Feedback Report Training Document review
