About the Role
A leading organisation within the asset management and services sector is seeking an experienced Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) Manager to take ownership of its health, safety, and compliance framework. This is a strategic and hands-on role, ideal for a proactive professional who can drive a strong safety culture across multiple operational sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive OSH strategy aligned with organisational goals
- Manage multi-site safety operations, ensuring compliance with South African health and safety legislation
- Conduct investigations into workplace incidents and injuries, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
- Provide leadership and guidance to site teams on OSH matters, promoting a culture of safety awareness
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain relationships, ensuring effective communication and information sharing
- Implement and maintain safety management systems, including monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field
- Professional registration (e.g., SACPCMP or equivalent) advantageous
- Minimum 5+ years experience in a similar OSH role, preferably in fleet, logistics, construction, or plant environments
- Strong knowledge of South African health and safety legislation
