Pretoria: Finance Assistant / Bookkeeper / Junior Accountant

Pretoria East | Full-time | On-site Seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Assistant / Junior Bookkeeper to join a finance team in Pretoria East. This is a full-time, office-based position reporting directly to the Financial Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting daily financial operations, ensuring accurate recordkeeping, and assisting with general accounting functions. Key Responsibilities Assist the Financial Manager with daily finance and accounting tasks Process invoices, payments, receipts, and bank reconciliations Capture and reconcile transactions in accounting systems Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems Support the month-end and year-end closing processes Assist with VAT, reconciliations, and audit preparation Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts and supplier queries Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and statutory requirements Minimum Requirements Grade 12 / Matric (essential) Finance or Accounting Diploma / Degree, or currently studying towards one 2 years experience in financial administration, bookkeeping, or accounting Strong understanding of accounting principles and South African financial regulations Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Experience using accounting software Experience with ERPNext will be a strong advantage High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills Professional, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
