About the Role
As a Compliance Officer at Isilumko Staffing, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our organization complies with relevant legislation efficiently and effectively. With a minimum of 8 years’ experience in the Long-term Insurance industry, including at least 5 years in Regulatory Compliance Risk Management, we are seeking a highly motivated and qualified professional to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and opinions to the management as needed.
- Offer support to the Compliance Department in the implementation of legislation and approval of debarment charge sheets.
- Keep the company informed about the latest legislative developments impacting our business.
- Update policies and procedures to align with legislation and ensure they are written in plain language.
- Formulate and collate comments on proposed new legislation and communicate changes to line management.
- Organize strategic sessions to discuss the potential impact of regulatory changes and coordinate feedback.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry requirements by updating policies and procedures.
- Develop policies where necessary and ensure that existing policies and procedures are updated in line with legislation.
- Strategically plan for business adjustments in response to legislative developments.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in the Long-term Insurance industry, including at least 5 years in Regulatory Compliance Risk Management.
- Experience in compliance monitoring principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- LLB Degree or relevant qualification.
- A post-graduate qualification in compliance risk management is an advantage.
