About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Draughtsman to join our team in Pretoria, South Africa. As a Junior Draughtsman, you will be responsible for creating technical drawings and collaborating with the engineering team to ensure accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating Technical Drawings based on Specifications
- Collaborating with Engineering Team to ensure accuracy
- Revising Drawings based on feedback
- Assisting in creating BOMs and Technical documentation
- Developing 3D Models from hand-drawn Sketches
- Producing Technical & Fabrication Drawings with focuses on Pipe Runes, Walkways, Sheet Metal Components & Rolled Items
- Creating Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) using AutoCAD
Requirements
- Currently Studying or recently Graduated with a Qualification in Draughting (Mechanical, Civil OR Structural)
- Autodesk Inventor – ESSENTIAL
- Experience with AutoCAD for P&ID Creation
- Familiarity with Tube & Pipe Design (Advantage)
- Basic knowledge of SolidWorks (Advantage)
- Experience with Sheetmetal Design & Roll Components (Advantage)
- Understanding of Water Treatment Plant Layouts (Advantage)
- Knowledge of Fabrication & Workshop Manufacturing Principles (Advantage)
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications in Draughting (Mechanical, Civil OR Structural)
