Key Responsibilities Learning & Development Strategy Design and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy that aligns with the companys business objectives and supports the growth of new business initiatives. Collaborate with key business leaders to identify learning needs for new business areas, including sales, customer service, and product development. Develop new L&D offerings or packages that can be marketed to clients as part of our services or solutions, thereby expanding the companys business portfolio. Champion a culture of continuous learning and improvement across the organisation, ensuring employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills required for success in new business ventures. New Business Development Identify potential business development opportunities within the learning & development space, including client training needs, partnerships, and collaboration opportunities. Work closely with the Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to propose and pitch L&D solutions to external clients and business prospects. Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities in L&D and recommend new business avenues that align with company objectives. Lead the development of tailored training proposals for new business opportunities, ensuring L&D services are positioned as a competitive differentiator for clients. Foster relationships with key industry stakeholders, including partners, vendors, and external training providers, to build new revenue streams for the organisation. Training Programme Design & Delivery Lead the creation and delivery of high-quality training programmes, workshops, and content targeted at both internal and external audiences. Ensure that all training materials, resources, and programmes are up to date, relevant, and tailored to meet the needs of new business areas and client requirements. Implement blended learning solutions (e.g., face-to-face training, e-learning, microlearning) that are innovative, engaging, and effective for diverse learning styles. Metrics & Reporting Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of L&D initiatives, both internally and in external business development projects. Report regularly to senior management on the progress of new business development through L&D initiatives, including return on investment (ROI), engagement levels, and performance metrics. Continuously improve the effectiveness of training programmes based on feedback, evaluations, and evolving business needs. Collaboration & Leadership Collaborate with HR and business leadership to align L&D efforts with talent development, performance management, and succession planning strategies. Lead, mentor, and develop the L&D team, ensuring a high level of expertise in both L&D strategies and business development. Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for learning and development solutions when engaging with prospective clients or partners. Key Requirements Education & Experience Bachelors degree in Business, Human Resources, Education, or a related field (Masters degree preferred). At least 57 years of experience in Learning & Development, with a proven track record in new business development, partnerships, or expanding business portfolios. Experience in designing and implementing learning programmes that directly contribute to business growth and client satisfaction. Skills & Expertise Strong understanding of business development strategies, including identifying new business opportunities and revenue generation through L&D. Ability to think strategically and implement innovative L&D solutions that drive business growth. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships both internally and externally. Expertise in learning technologies, such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and content creation tools. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders. Additional Competencies Results-oriented, with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes.
