Job Description

REQUIREMENTS Minimum education (essential): National Senior Certificate Trade certificate or qualification in Millwright, Electrical, Mechanical, or related technical field (Advantageous) Minimum applicable experience (years): 1 – 3 years practical maintenance experience Required nature of experience: General farm or industrial maintenance Electrical wiring and basic electrical maintenance Mechanical repairs and equipment servicing Welding and metal work Plumbing repairs and maintenance Maintenance of tractors, motors, and farm equipment Skills and Knowledge (essential): Strong practical and technical ability Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills Welding skills Ability to work independently and solve technical problems Knowledge of farm equipment maintenance Other: Proficient in Afrikaans and English Own transport and valid drivers license (Transport will be provided on the farm Must be available for after-hours maintenance call-outs KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS General Maintenance and Farm Infrastructure Perform routine maintenance on farm buildings, facilities, and infrastructure. Conduct repairs on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and structural systems. Assist with preventative maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Ensure maintenance tasks are completed safely and efficiently. Machinery and Equipment Maintenance Assist with the maintenance and repair of tractors and farm machinery. Maintain and service electrical motors and mechanical equipment. Conduct troubleshooting and repairs to minimize equipment downtime. Assist with breakdown repairs and urgent maintenance when required. Ensure machinery remains operational to support farm production. Electrical, Welding and Technical Work Perform basic electrical wiring and repairs when required. Conduct welding and metal fabrication for maintenance and repairs. Assist with installation and repair of electrical components. Support preventative maintenance of electrical systems. Operational Support and Compliance Respond to after-hours maintenance call-outs when required. Provide general maintenance support across the farm. Assist at other farm sites when required. Follow safety procedures and farm maintenance standards. Maintain a clean and organized working environment. Remuneration Offered Market related
