About the Role

Profection Fresh, a leading food manufacturing and processing factory in Pretoria North, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a critical member of our operations, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical fault finding, diagnosis and repair on production equipment including dryers, roasters, boilers, conveyors, milling machines, motors and PLC-controlled systems.
• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on all electrical components of production equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical panels, motor control centers, switchgears, and distribution systems
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and equipment history records
• Assist in installation, startup and commissioning of new equipment, electrical systems, instrumentation and control systems.
• Respond to production calls and breakdowns promptly to reduce downtime.

Requirements

• Strong background in electrical maintenance
• Experience with food processing equipment
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced food industry environment

Qualifications

Degree, Diploma and/or Trade Certification in electrical.
