About the Role

Our client is searching for an Operations Analyst MAS to join their team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will provide first line support to clients on banking and MAS products, assist with processing electronic files for clients, and exercise effective operations to ensure seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides first line support to clients on banking and MAS products.
  • Assists to process electronic files for clients.
  • Maintains Corporate standard by adhering to procedures and complying with Corporate Regulation.
  • Exercises and maintains effective operations: Client Payroll Updates / Inputs, including:
  • Managing information for the update process
  • Confirming updates generated to create input to payroll
  • Verifying files and updating the checklist
  • Taking accountability for client files confirmed as processed
  • Checking against results and managing MAS input process to payroll
  • Ensuring data is correct for the input Audit
  • Managing file layouts
  • Managing payroll receipt and feedback
  • Saving electronic communication to and from client under relevant folder
  • Verifying the execution of employee file process.
  • Exercises and maintains effective operations: Payroll Output / Reconciliation, including:
  • Checking output due against output schedule
  • Contacting payroll and prompting for late files
  • Confirming execution of recon files
  • Ensuring that the output layout is correct
  • Conducting Payroll/MAS recons
  • Updating recon checklist
  • Identifying problems, communicating problems, and following up with relevant team.
  • Exercises and maintains effective operations: User ID’s / Alerts / Threshold checks, including:
  • Creating and/or modifying web user id’s
  • Resolving all alerts effectively within 24 hours
  • Conducting threshold checking on update files
  • Conducting exceptions investigation
  • Compiling and communicating exceptions generated to internal and external clients
  • Creating and updating private payrolls.
  • Assists with testing as requested by management.
  • Assists with the production of schedules of requests for change (RFCs) for managing changes to the live infrastructure.
  • Logs requests for change (RFCs) on the change management database, ensuring accuracy and consistency of data.
  • Progresses status of changes with service departments to ensure data is current.
  • Contacts clients/users (for whom change management service is provided) to raise queries and provide information and feedback.
  • Maintains the client/user database.
  • Questions the client/user database to produce reports for bodies that review changes, such as change advisory boards (CABs), and for clients and management.
  • Performs any other tasks related to the project allocated by the management as and when required.

Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • At least 2 years prior experience in a similar role
  • MAS side: Extensive knowledge of the union industry
