About the Role
Dis-Chem Pharmacies, a leading retail pharmacy chain in South Africa, is seeking an experienced and reputable pharmacist to join their team at their Queenswood store. As a Pharmacist at Dis-Chem, you will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to our patients and ensuring that we meet their medicine-related needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision of pharmaceutical care by taking responsibility for patients’ medicine-related needs
- Evaluation of a patient’s medicine-related needs by determining the indication, safety, and effectiveness of therapy
- Dispensing of any medicine or scheduled substance on the prescription of an authorized person
- Furnishing of information and advice to any person with regard to the use of medicines
- Determining patient compliance with therapy and follow-up to ensure that patients’ medicine-related needs are met
- Provision of pharmacist-initiated therapy
- Compounding, manipulation, preparation, or packaging of any medicine or scheduled substance, or supervision thereof
Requirements
- Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
- Min 2-3 years experience in Pharmaceutical
- 2-3 years retail pharmacy experience (Student/I intern) is advantageous
- Computer literate and MS Office proficient
- Relevant retail/FMCG experience and/or SAP experience are an advantage
Qualifications
- Grade 12 / Matric BPharm / equivalent qualification
Salary & Benefits
Market-related salary, monthly and annual performance pay, medical aid, and a provident fund will be provided.
