About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of maintenance personnel in a workshop setting, overseeing the maintenance and repair of plant assets, fleet, and equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in asset management, team leadership, and technical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of more than 20 employees in a workshop setting
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of plant assets, fleet, and equipment
- Conduct regular assessments of repair quality, maintenance needs, technical risks, and replacement requirements
- Develop and implement asset planning and replacement strategies
- Implement cost control measures and financial management systems
- Coordinate procurement and supplier coordination activities
- Improve systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency and compliance
- Provide strategic support to the division
Requirements
- Relevant Technical Qualification: Engineering degree, technical degree or diploma (advantageous)
- Certificate in Management / Financial (Beneficial)
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in a similar management role
- Proven experience in plant, fleet, workshop or asset management
- Extensive experience managing maintenance and repairs of more than 80 assets
- Experience with yellow equipment and trucks (Essential)
