About the Role
Working for our client provides the prestige of a global brand combined with the close-knit collaboration of a specialized local office. This role is designed for a proactive individual who enjoys the technical side of tax compliance but is also ready to take on the responsibility of mentoring junior staff and managing high-level client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve a comprehensive range of tax returns, including Income Tax, VAT, and PAYE.
- Liaise directly with SARS via eFiling and professional correspondence to resolve complex disputes and appeals.
- Maintain and improve internal controls and tax processes to ensure firm-wide compliance.
- Act as a technical mentor to Tax Administrators and Trainees, ensuring their professional development.
Requirements
- Degree in Taxation, Accounting, or Finance.
- 3 years of practical tax compliance experience with leadership or supervisory exposure.
- Strong technical knowledge of SARS processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans; strong organizational and time management skills.
