Essential qualifications and traits: Must have the intention to complete the full three-year SAICA Training Contract, or the remainder of the SAICA Training Contract if the trainee is transferring from an out-of-town firm, in order to qualify as a Chartered Accountant (SA); Must have completed a SAICA approved relevant degree from an approved tertiary institution which qualifies the trainee to enter into a SAICA Training Contract; Must be computer literate; Must have own transport and a valid SA drivers license . Duties will include: 1. Working under the guidance of experienced Chartered Accountants 2. Hands-on working environment with active participation in all aspects of rendering services to clients. 3. Assisting with the preparation of financial statements, management accounts, and tax returns. 4. Conducting audits and assurance engagements in compliance with auditing standards. 5. Participating in client meetings and liaising with clients on financial matters. 6. Developing a strong understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and auditing procedures. 7. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices. 8. Working collaboratively with team members to deliver high-quality services to clients. 9. Actively pursuing the completion of a SAICA accredited bachelors degree if the degree is not yet completed. 10. Duties and competencies as set out in the SAICA Training Regulations.
