About the Role
This 12-month Sales Trainee – YES Intern programme offers a unique opportunity to learn the ins and outs of automotive sales, from customer engagement to vehicle delivery. As a Sales Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience in day-to-day dealership operations, assist in sales functions, and develop key professional and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist sales consultants in handling customer inquiries and follow-ups
- Support with vehicle presentations and test drive arrangements
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and leads
- Help prepare sales documents, quotations, invoices, and delivery paperwork
- Participate in dealership events, activations, and promotions
- Conduct research on vehicle models, pricing, and competitor offerings
- Assist in updating online vehicle listings and marketing content
- Learn and help track performance metrics such as lead conversions and sales targets
- Provide administrative support to the sales and finance team
Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 certificate
- Drivers License (not-negotiable)
- Studying towards or recently completed a qualification in: Sales & Marketing, Business Management/Commerce, Automotive Retail/Customer Service
- Computer literate (MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Passion for the automotive industry
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities
- Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
