About the Role
We are a leading supplier of electrical engineering solutions and products to the mining, industrial, and infrastructure sectors. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and results-driven Electrical Sales Engineer to join our team and drive business development within the mining industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with mining houses, EPCM consultants, contractors, and end users.
- Identify new business opportunities and generate sales leads within the mining sector.
- Promote and sell electrical products, systems, and solutions.
- Conduct client visits, presentations, and technical demonstrations.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
- Interpret client specifications and recommend suitable technical solutions.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM records.
Requirements
National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 35 years’ experience in technical sales within the mining or industrial sector. Strong understanding of mining electrical systems and equipment. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing client relationships. Ability to interpret technical specifications and tender documents. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively.
