Introduction

A well-established Accounting firm based in Pretoria East is looking for a Tax Accountant with post-articles tax and accounting experience, including individual and corporate tax. Proven ability to liaise with SARS and manage audits.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Requirements:

• Education: Membership with CIMA or SAIPA, or SAIT.
• Completed articles at an accredited accounting or auditing firm.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years post-articles tax and accounting experience, including individual and corporate tax. Proven ability to liaise with SARS and manage audits.

Technical Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong understanding of South African tax legislation (Income Tax Act, VAT, PAYE, Customs & Excise).
• Skilled in preparing and submitting tax returns (individual, corporate, provisional, VAT, PAYE, EMP501, IT3ts).
• Strong accounting knowledge, including financial statement interpretation and reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of SARS e-filing.

Software Skills:

• Skilled in accounting systems (Pastel, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks).
• Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel)

• High ethical standards and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Package & Remuneration

R18,000 R30,000 CTC pm. (Depending on qualifications and experience.)
