Job Summary
Our client is searching for a Technical Tester to join their team in Pretoria East.
Job Purpose:
Responsible for testing and evaluating the software applications and systems.
Role
Responsibilities:
- Design and executive test plans on computer applications.
- Record and document results and compare them to expected results.
- Detect software failures for defects to be discovered and corrected.
- Generate historical analysis of test results.
- Document anomalies and issues.
- Assist in identifying database of software defects.
- Verify specific actions or functions of code.
- Operate and maintain test networks. Create meaningful error-handling procedures for application code.
- Ensure compliance with general programming best practices, accepted web standards and those standards set forth by upstream sources.
Preferred
Requirements:
- Software experience and knowledge
- Fundamental Software Testing qualification or similar qualification
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- A minimum of 3-years experience in a similar role
- 3+ years experience in MS Office, especially Excel (Advance)
- REST APIs and basic SQL experience (at least 2 to 3 years experience with these technologies).
